Suffix & Prefix   Prefix & Suffix এর মাধ্যমে conversion of words (শব্দের রুপান্তর) সম্পর্কে জানা যায়। Prefix & Suffix এর আলোচনা করতে গেলে যে term টা সামনে আসে সেটা হল - Affix .  এখন প্রশ্ন হলো , what is Affix ?  Affix : Affix মানে হলো জুড়ে দেওয়া। যদি আমরা সরল ভাষায় বলি, তাহলে Affix হলো semi-words বা অর্ধ শব্দ বা শব্দাংশ । এরা কখনো স্বাধীনভাবে অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে পারে না বা এদের নিজস্ব স্বাধীন কোন অর্থ নেই। কিন্তু যখন এটা কোনো Root Word বা মূল শব্দের এর সাথে Attach/Fix করা হয়, তখন ইহা অর্থ প্রকাশে সাহায্য করে।  Affix সাধারণ তিন প্রকার   Prefix  Suffix  Infix  নিচের Diagram টি লক্ষ্য করো,  Affix ↙⬇↘ Prefix ↩  Root Word  ↪ Suffix ⤵ Infix Prefix : Root Word বা মূল শব্দের পূর্বে যে Affix গুলো যুক্ত হয়ে নতুন শব্দ তৈরি করে, তাদের Prefix বলে।      যেমন : Dis + honest = Dishonest  Un + happy = Unhappy  Im + possible = Impossible  Suffix : Root Word বা মূল শব্দের পরে যে Affix গুলো যুক্ত...

Sentence Connector কি?   পূর্বের Sentence এর সাথে পরের Sentence এর সম্পর্ক স্থাপনকারী শব্দকেই Connector   বলে। Example: Adeel did not read his lessons carefully before his examination. As  a result/For this reason/That's why/so , he failed in the exam. Sentence Connector এবং Linker কি একই জিনিস ?  অনেক সময় দুটো শব্দ একই মনে হলেও ব্যবহারে কিছু পার্থক্য রয়েছে। একটি উদাহরণ দেখলে বিষয়টি খুব সহজ হয়ে যাবে:      ▫ He is Educated but Impolite.      ▫ He is Educated but he is Impolite.      ▫ He is Educated. But, he is Impolite. অর্থাৎ, * বাক্যের মাঝে/ভেতরে বসে সংযোগ স্থাপন করলে সেটা Linker. * বাক্যের শুরুতে বসে সংযোগ স্থাপন করলে সেটা Connector. কিন্তু, মনে রাখতে হবে, এমন অনেক Linker আছে যা Connector হিসাবেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।  যেমন : উপরের উদাহরণ এর but .  List of Most Important Connectors  : ▫ Firstly - প্রথমত   ▫ As a result/ That is why - এই কারণে  ▫ Now - এখন  ▫...

Passage Narration Basic Discussion : ◼◻ Narration/Speech মনে উক্তি। একজন বক্তার বক্তব্য ব্যক্ত করার উপায়কে Narration/Speech বলে। Narration/Speech দুই প্রকার -     1. Direct Speech ( প্রত্যক্ষ উক্তি )      2. Indirect Speech ( পরোক্ষ উক্তি ) ◽◾ Direct Speech - বক্তার দ্বারা বলা হুবহু বক্তব্য যা সে নিজের মুখ দিয়ে বলে তা হলো Direct Speech.  ◽◾ Indirect Speech - বক্তার বক্তব্যের সারাংশ যা অন্য কেউ তার মত করে বলে তখন তা Indirect Speech. 🔼এটাতো গেলো Narration এর ভাষাগত পরিচয়। কিন্তু Narration ভালোভাবে শিখতে হলে নিম্নোক্ত ছয়টি টপিক ভালোভাবে বুঝতে হবে - 1. Tag শব্দের আভিধানিক অর্থ হল জুড়ে দেয়া, অর্থাৎ কথাবার্তা বলার সময় আমরা কথার সঠিকতা যাচাইয়ের জন্য শ্রতার সমর্থন চেয়ে বাক্যে যে প্রশ্ন জুড়ে দেয়া হয় তাই Tag question. Tag Question মূলত দুই প্রকার : 1. Negative Type: Statement Positive = Tag Negative Ex. You are intelligent, aren't you? 2. Positive Type: Statement Negative = Tag Positive Ex. You are not intelligent, are you? Tag Question ভালোভাবে বুঝতে হলে Tense এর সাহায্যকারী ক্রিয়া অর্থাৎ Helping Verb গুলো আয়ত্তে থাকতে হবে।  Av  Mv  Tag       Chart Picture  (Tense & Auxiliary Verb) # Note: 1.
