Definition

Verb Conjugation হলো verb-এর রূপ পরিবর্তন করা — Person, Number, Tense, Mood, Voice ও Aspect অনুযায়ী।

Subject ও Tense বদলালে Verb-ও বদলায়!

Complete Tense Conjugation

Verb used: "write" — Regular/Irregular Verb Example

3rd Person Singular (he/she/it) — Simple Present-এ verb-এর শেষে -s / -es যোগ হয়!

Regular verbs-এ Past form: verb + -ed / -d   Irregular-এ: আলাদা form মুখস্থ করতে হবে!

The 5 Forms of English Verbs

প্রতিটি English verb-এর 5টি form জানতে হবে। এগুলোই সব tense ও structure তৈরির ভিত্তি।

Normal: add -ing → play→playing
Silent -e: drop e → write→writing

-ed Rules (V2/V3)

Normal: add -ed → play→played
-e ending: add -d → love→loved
CVC: double → stop→stopped
Consonant+y: -ied → try→tried

-s/-es Rules (V5)

Normal: add -s → play→plays
-s,-x,-z,-sh,-ch: -es → watch→watches
Consonant+y: -ies → fly→flies
Special: go→goes, do→does, have→has

Modal Verbs — Conjugation

Modal Verbs কখনো conjugate হয় না (no -s, no -ing, no -ed). সবসময় Modal + Base Verb!

Common Phrasal Verbs — Conjugation

Phrasal Verbs-এও সব normal conjugation rules apply হয়। শুধু particle টা fixed থাকে!

Subjunctive Mood — Special Conjugation

That-clause-এ Base Verb ব্যবহার হয় (3rd person-এও -s নেই!)

• It is important that he be present. (not "is")
• I suggest that she attend the class. (not "attends")
• They demand that he leave immediately.

Were used for all persons in hypothetical situations:

• If I were you, I would study harder.
• I wish she were here now.
